April 19, 2012: Caritas Fundraising during Lent
The children, parents and staff at Queen of Apostles
school have been extra creative this Lent in thinking up
clever ways to fundraise for Caritas. All of the activities
have a distinctly ‘fishy’ flavour, ranging from selling
raffle tickets for two Siamese Fighting fish, Project
Compassion boxes in each classroom and selling fish
fingers for lunch to fishing for the elusive prize of $500.
In total over $3529 was raised for Caritas. Everyone
is to be congratulated for their generosity and
fundraising initiatives.
